If you read this post on the blog earlier this…
Totally crushing over this necklace from The House of Bling. It’s got just the right amount of neon and makes a statement in minutes. Have paired it with a solid colored maxi dress, a printed shirt with skinnies and a playsuit already and I am yet to get over this beauty.
For my skin I have been sticking to basics recently, simply because I find foundation powders/creams way to cumbersome to work with on an everyday basis. The Lakme CC cream and the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder that I picked up from the Delhi airport (how I love delayed flights!) are my quick fixes currently.
I am a sucker for sweet smelling well packaged products. It’s thus no surprise that Victoria’s Secret products dominate my body mists and fragrances shelf. Currently loving this Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Passion Fruit double body mist that has the right amount of fruity pop to begin my day with. Also, this Japanese Cherry Blossom by Bath and Body Works has been a rather sweet surprise. With its matte texture and pleasant smell I have been turning to this little bottle way too often.
As for the eyes, I have been going rather OTT and experimenting recently. Here are a few of my favourite and easy to work eye makeup looks –
a) The neutral eye shadow by Estée Lauder with its nude and brown palette is a brilliant companion for day wear. I simply pair this with clean and dewy skin for a fuss free look.
b) The Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal is the best thing that happened to me this month (not kidding!). If you have spent endless hours on Pinterest trying to master the smokey eye look, bet your money on this product! While the kohl is dark with a creamy texture, the smudger makes smokey eyes a less-than-a-minute task. Tried and tested.
c) The shimmer based eyeshadow my MAC blends beautifully with my dusky skin tone and adds the right amount of glamor to the most boring of my outfits. I pair this with blush to contour my cheekbones if not with a red lipstick.
d) When I saw the Shine Line from the Lakme Absolute Royal Range by Sabyasachi, I knew I had to have it. Either as a sharp defined line or as smudged golden glitter, at just Rs. 290, this eyeliner is totally on-trend this season. It also comes in blue, teal, silver and pink besides the gold shade that I have.
I have absolutely no idea when I became a lipstick junkie!! Currently switching between Lakme’s Toffee Nexus from their 9-5 range for a neutral shade to match heavily kohled eyes and Runway Red from the Lakme Absolute Creme range for that fiery dash of glam which works wonders with the no-kohl-but-heavy-mascara-and-a-defined-brow look. Can’t wait to start wearing my burgundy and deeper reds over the next two months!
Came across this old post and thought I should follow it up with another post. This is thus the second post of similar nature. Maybe I should do a series with one post every month?
Till the next post,
