Gold jewellery in India is not simply looked at as…
As a fashion blogger living in Bombay, you are constantly on the lookout for interesting locations to shoot outfit posts for the blog. For no matter how fashionably forward a look that you’ve put together is, a location that does not match up to its aesthetics can end up in images wherein the very soul of that fleeting idea that had germinated in your head and drove you to styling a specific piece in a particular way is eventually lost. And going by all these years of relentless scouting for locales for every single blog post and gasping at the boundless playgrounds that the top international fashion bloggers have access to just a stone’s throw away from their homes – from backyards to neighborhoods and local flower markets to manicured gardens, I can tell you that the commercial and stifling city of Bombay is probably not the best place for a fashion blogger who places equal importance on both outfit and location. That’s precisely the reason why I find working on pieces for Travel Diary so stimulating.
However, on the flip side these images were shot on a day when I didn’t even intend to shoot for an outfit post! Simply passing by this location that was enveloped by clear cerulean skies at that moment, compelled me to stop and get the camera (luckily in my car then because of a previous shoot!) out. And I couldn’t have been more glad! It’s times like these that strongly define my love-hate relationship with this city.
