The #patakhamix contest on Instagram in collaboration with Westside, saw you guys send in some fabulous entries to style these floral palazzos and I truly am overwhelmed with all the innovative and out of the box styling ideas shared there. It’s going to be pretty tough choosing just 5 winners from all the entries (winners to be announced on 16th Nov) but thank you for the great response!
So while I asked you guys to go all fun and quirky with your styling ideas, I put together a more ethnic and fusion look for Diwali. Long kurtas with palazzos is all rage this season and the Westside store is complete with plenty of options to mix and match for a similar look. I absolutely love the cut and fit of this kurta that I chose from Westside and the being a sucker for details (front buttons and pockets!) this piece just sealed the deal for me. I love how the solid rust color set against florals makes for such a striking impact. Add to this some oxidised jewellery and a crown braid and I felt all ready for Diwali. In fact this outfit won me a dozen of compliments last evening! Besides these, the Westside store also has a ton of other options in a variety of prints and fabrics to choose from this festive season. Make sure you mix and match to create an outfit that’s completely you. It’s all about dressing up to express how you feel on a given day and a festival is no different.
Wish you all a very happy diwali. Here’s to a happy and prosperous year.
