All through my college years, I sincerely detested the idea…
My unabashed love for jewellery is no secret and in this undying quest I have found myself religiously following the work of many jewellery designers and experts. Farah Khan Ali is one such designer who had me hooked with her aesthetics and attention to detail in all her designs. So when CaratLane announced its partnership with this leading lady of Indian designer jewellery and I was invited by the amazing guys at POPxo to try on some jewellery from the line, I was more than just ecstatic!
Now designer jewellery comes with a heavy price tag and is then inevitably reserved only for special occasions and days. But what CaratLane has successfully managed to do with ‘Ornati – a line of jewellery exclusively designed by Farah Khan for CaratLane, is present a line of designer jewellery that is affordable without compromising on quality. So imagine indulging yourself on an everyday basis with designer jewellery. Totally every woman’s dream, right?
Ornati by Farah Khan comprises of 3 main collections – Pastel Petals, Ayin and Sonnet. Complete with an assortment of earrings, rings, necklaces and pendants – what I loved about the jewellery is how it is the perfect blend of glamor and wearability. Ayin for example takes its inspiration from evil eye crafted in 18kt gold and outlined with white diamonds. The pieces are absolutely delicate and minimalist to be worn on a daily basis while adding the right amount of chic to basic outfits. Sonnet on the other hand is all about sophistication and glamor. Ballroom dance being the muse, Sonnet is for you if you like he old world glamor if baguette cut diamonds in reds, greens and blues. And finally Pastel Petals, as the name suggests, captures and celebrates nature and life with diamonds se in rose and white gold.
For me what works about Ornati by Farah Khan is the fact that indulging yourself with wearing designer jewellery doesn’t have to be restricted to only certain days. Everyday becomes a celebration, reflective of the wearer’s individuality. Think beautiful jewellery that is accessible (few things more convenient than online shopping with try at home services!), affordable (jewellery is priced Rs. 8,000 onwards) and forever wearable (because, diamonds!). So hop over to CaratLane and choose your favourite for yourself or that someone who needs to be reminded this.
