I have forgotten how to write. I have unlearnt…
The festive season is just around the corner and there’s something magical about this time of the year. I love how the celebratory feel grips everyone during these last few months. It’s all about embracing the festivities – catching up with your oldest friends, doing up you home in the festive spirit, shopping for new clothes, binging on food and of course experimenting with your looks when it comes to hair and makeup!
Given the festive season, I received the L’Oreal Paris MakeUp Festive Box recently from the L’Oreal Team. The box came loaded with makeup right from foundation to nail paint and eyeliner to lipsticks along with a personalised letter from Sonam Kapoor (oh yes, I love my job!) asking me to take on the festivities by reinventing her festive makeup look!! All of this excitement along with the specially curated products from the L’Oreal Paris Makeup range had to be documented on the blog. Since I have so much to say about the products I received in the box, I thought I’d give you guys a glimpse into my box before I set to decode Sonam’s look for you. So here you go!
Now the L’Oreal Infallible 24H foundation is that one foundation that I absolutely cannot do without! If you follow me on Snapchat you already know I was on my 4th bottle already even before I got this new one in the kit. I cannot stress how beautifully this foundation blends into my skin to give me that natural finish that stays all day long!
I am a big fan of gel liners and love the finish they create (especially when we are talking about long lasting makeup!). I got the Super Liner Gel Intenza in shades Diamond Black and Sapphire Blue and I am honestly really excited to try on the blue one because I’ve never really experimented with this shade for my eyes before and trying new makeup looks is something I am always game for!
I’ve heard such great things about the Volume Million Lashes and I got this in the shade Extra Black. The one thing that I love about this and most other L’oreal Paris products has got to be the packaging! It all looks so well packaged (and not to mention the superior quality that I am always on the lookout for!) that you know it deserves to be there on display on your makeup rack amongst other products. Can’t wait to try this!
The La Palette Nude had me hooked instantly with its range of 8 gorgeous shades that are absolutely perfect for the fall/winter makeup transition looks. Also, the first thing I noticed is the right mix of matte and glitter cakes in the palette. Now any girl who loves her dose of eyeshadows knows how an all-matte and all-glitter palette can be limiting. I can see myself doing a bunch of looks with this so stay tuned to my Instagram.
I am a complete lipstick girl and if I had to pick that one makeup product to strictly stick to, it would hands down be a lipstick! The box came with a bunch of lipsticks and glosses in delectable shades. I will be swatching them all soon so make sure you are following me on Instagram and Snapchat!
Besides all this, there’s also the Lucent Maqique Glow Blush palette, Color Riche Le Smoky pencils in shades Antique Green and black, the Super Liner (the thin tip is the bomb!) and some nail paints.
I am super excited to put all these products to test and recreate Sonam’s look that I will be sharing in my next blog post. So stay tuned for some festive inspiration!!
